Basic FlameThrower Information
What is a flame thrower and how does it work?
A flame thrower is a device that has you wear on your back and it wraps around into your hands, when fired it shoots out a stream of fire up to 100 feet in length. Flame throwers are heavy and really heavy duty and rarely back fired on people. Flame throwers are actually more simple to use then you would think, there are two tanks on your back one containing flammable liquid and the other containing gas. The liquid and gas mix together and creates pressure then fires out the hose wrapping around you.
Who created it? Why? Where? And when?
It was actually created back in 5th century B.C but reimagined for WW1 by the Germans in the year 1900, but who actually created it in Germany, well it was Richard Fiedler a German that studied gases and all type of different liquids before he started the flame thrower. Richard recreated it because it was a very powerful weapon that needed to be brought tack but better
Impact of the FlameThrower
Overall impact of the Flamethrower
This weapon was one that you definitely wanted to stay away from, once that fire reached you, you had no chance. The fire was so strong it easily could burn down anything, so imagine it on your skin much worse. A major influence is that the Germans made it and so many people made their own much better version, such as the United States. A minor thing is the way army's plans changed, rushing in wouldn't be as successful because they could be easily stopped by a lane of fire. The fire was also used to light the ground on fire so enemy's couldn't push you from there easily.
How can the FlameThrower affect people and soldiers
Soldiers near the front lines close to flamethrowers is very dangerous the length of the flamethrower can easily hit you and kill you, but worse then that is a FlameThrower in a tank which was very hard for people to stop, a powerful shot in addition a very deadly shot of fire. Civilians were in great danger also, the flame could easily destroy people's homes, crops, and destroy buildings around. Some Poole had no mercy when heading into cities and would kill civilians for no reason. And for leaders it was dangerous also if they were killed in action soldiers had no direction and didn't know when to attack which got them killed easily.
